Contemporary jeweller is back in the room!

Christ it's been a long time between blogs...

And yes-I do apologise*(if anyone actually reads them!!).My life has been in total focus the past 2-3 months regarding showing my work at "Fashion,Beauty,Music'.Held on Puketutu Island up in Auckland (well, actually Manakau) at Keliher estate,a privately owned estate with vast sprawling grounds full of exotic and native flora and fauna.

It did not disappoint..

Decked out sumptiously, from head to toe the estate put the "Glam" in glamorous and being a sometime glamour queen myself I enjoyed the elegance the event showcased.

Everyone looked fabulous, dresses to die for and guy's that oozed style...

Just as twilight fell...The fashion show saw models sashay down a runway  wearing "the oh so hip"Michael Pattisons "Trixie & Dandy" range  and the girly ,playful charm of Michelle Yvettes cocktail dresses and Chanelesque suits.

If you looked REALLY,REALLY  hard you may have seen my jewellery adorn the garments-yes,it was all over faster than speedfreaks first date..BUT hopefully with a little bit of luck on my part -it was noticed.

Accessories designers have always been the poor cousins of clothing designers,so we take whatever we can get, whenever we can get it.

My labradorite necklace stood out ,as did the brooches on the Mens wear.Clever Lulu Wilcox*(one of the nicest down to earth stylists you will ever meet),did a fantastic job using some of my longer necklaces as belts-good thinking 99!

Overall I was honoured to be given a chance to participate-and who knows?

Maybe next year will see me show my pieces as their own entity...
